Annual Dues in September
MMPC dues were collected at the September meeting. Thanks to those that paid on time. MMPC dues run from September through August of each year. MMPC members will need to be paid up to participate in the Big Cookie Competition, the Gallery Show, and to follow the Facebook Group.
The MMPC Board has been working on the By-Laws for MMPC. The membership adopted By-Laws that are posted here. This year we will just be holding an election for an At-Large position and we are welcoming nominations for voting at the October meeting.
MMPC members have the opportunity to participate in a Gallery Show. MMPC has a goal to encourage more members to participate. All prints must be matted, framed, and ready to hang (with wire on the back of the frame). The maximum outside dimensions of the mat are 28 X 32 inches. The minimum print size is 8 X 10 inches. Members may offer their prints for sale, or they may choose to have it on display only. The following are the dates for the 2018 Gallery Show, to be held at Riverview Church, 3585 E Willoughby Rd, Holt, MI
- Setup – Thursday, November 15, 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
- Take-Down – Monday, January 29, 2019 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
The fee for participation in the gallery show must be paid at the MMPC meeting on November 7, 2018. There are two forms that must be submitted to participate. There is the Riverview Church Artists’ Agreement, and the Application for MMPC’s 2018 Riverview Gallery Show.
MMPC has established a tradition of hosting a holiday dinner during the December meeting. All participants are asked to bring a dish to pass. members are encouraged to submit their best images of the year for presentation in a slide show. The December meeting is also a Big Cookie competition.
